DSME E&R Ltd. Introduces New Product - Scanning Sonar SonarBeam RS-150
New scanning sonar SonarBeam RS-150 is dual simultaneous frequency 400/900 kHz system that produces high resolution imagery for search and recovery missions. It consists of a topside processing unit, a cable for digital link and subsurface sonar head with composite transducers.
The sonar head has a high speed digital telemetry that allows high speed continuous rotation. This sonar head is two mechanically scanned imaging sonars in a single pressure housing: the 400 kHz frequency will provide long range reconnaissance operation and the 900 kHz frequency will allow to get high resolution sonar imagery for easier identification of targets. The lightweight sonar head have compact size and can quickly be deployed in any place and only need a 12-24VDC power source (or 100-220VAC).
RotaScan ® which runs on a windows-based computers is the software for the scanning sonar data acquisition and logging of RS-150.
Sonar head is compatible with existing compact interface boxes and top-side portable water resistant processors for SonarBeam S-150 side scan sonars.
